On the evening of November 23rd 2019, after our community launch in Valencia, at the New Beginning Ministries church auditorium we launched the Joan Lewis foundation to friends and family. We shared the Vision and Mission of the organization, inviting others to join with us as we seek to transform individuals and communities through Education and Health care services and programs.
At this event we made our first presentation of the AnnMarie Laurie Golden Years Love Award which was presented by Trevor Laurie to Mrs Angela Morgan. This award will take varying forms such as; cash vouchers, medical check ups etc. This award will be given to senior persons who have contributed to their community in meaningful and positive ways. AnnMarie Laurie is known for her genuine love for people but has been known to care and value the lives of senior citizens in her community and profession with a fervent passion. The award is scheduled to be hosted on the 24th of May in the form of a small ceremony annually.
At the launch, visiting with us was the Logos Hope team who were there to share information about their visit to Trinidad and Tobago and also for discussions with us on the collaborative Health Fair event to be held in Valencia in January 2020.
